Storm Damage

This storm related damage was in Massapequa, New York. The storm drains in this neighborhood couldn't keep up with the unusually heavy rains. This resulted in many flooded basements. SERVPRO of Farmingdale/Massapequa was called in by a home improvement contractor. The heavy rains flooded his parking lot and  ran down his basement stairwell resulting in 6" of water. Our crew extracted the water, moved the contents, and cut out the wet sheetrock and carpet. Upon validation the correct amount of drying equipment was installed to thoroughly dry out the structure. The structure took 3 days to dry and reconstruction was  started shortly after that.
